Dane Dysert
BESTPREP’s Founder, Dane Dysert, has been working in test prep since he was a student at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He moved to Charlotte in 2006 and began working for Kaplan Test Prep shortly thereafter. In 2007, he launched his private tutoring business and has been a full-time SAT and ACT tutor since 2011. When he's not working, he's traveling. Ask him where he's going next.
Holly Bender
BESTPREP’s Center Director, Holly Bender, joined BESTPREP in 2021 after relocating to Cornelius with her two teenage daughters.
Julia Bourdon
Julia Bourdon joined the BESTPREP team in September, 2022, with four years of experience tutoring middle/high school math and three years of SAT/ACT math. Her favorite part of tutoring is helping students find strategies that work for them, but if she had to pick a favorite part of math, it would be solving the puzzle. She loves a challenge. Whenever she can, she enjoys going to the mountains and taking every opportunity to explore.
Maryann Earwood
BESTPREP’s English Instructor, Maryann Earwood, has taught English and English education for many years. She was an English/writing/reading/ study skills instructor at Sandhills Community College, Central Piedmont Community College, and, most recently, Mitchell Community College. For the past four years, she has tutored reading, English, writing, and ACT/SAT prep. She enjoys all aspects of tutoring, especially connecting with her students. She is thrilled to become a part of BESTPREP where their one-on-one and small group approach will ensure a successful prep. She is from Georgia and an avid college football fan- Go Dawgs!
