Subject tutoring
All private tutoring sessions will meet at our Cornelius office.
We offer tutoring in a broad range of middle and high school classes. These are available in 30 and 60 minute increments. Please email or call us at 704-228-4625 to sign up for these services.
1-on-1 SAT and ACT tutoring
BESTPREP offers comprehensive test prep and believes it is most successful when parents, students, and tutors are on the same page. Test prep with BESTPREP begins one of two ways: either with a small group class, or with a planning session.
Some of our students get introduced to us when they take one of our classes. This is a great introduction to our people and our services. About half of the students we see in small group classes come back and see us 1-on-1 for additional help.
Other students meet us for the first time when they come in for 1-on-1 sessions. This is typically after a friend or parent tells them to work with us. The role of standardized tests in admissions is changing, so we have changed the way we provide this service. Working with BESTPREP this way begins with a planning session. We ask that the student and at least one parent attend. You will meet with our Education Director, Dane, and meet our staff. We will have an in-depth discussion about goals, schedule, testing dates, and expectations. Students will leave this meeting with their first homework assignments. Click HERE to sign up.
1-on-1 POLICIES
Sessions will start promptly at the designated time. Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early. Unruly or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and will result in removal from that session and loss of tuition.
In the event that a student is unable to attend a scheduled session, we require a 24 hour cancellation notice. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours are subject to a cancellation fee equal to the rate for that session. Each student is allowed one excused cancellation before the fee applies. You will be notified by email when this free cancellation has been executed.
